This blog is part of my Health 332 Technology in Health Promotion class. It is all about my journey in weight loss through various methods. It started out as a competition between my wife and I, but because she is so active at her job and is breastfeeding our baby daughter, she is losing the weight faster than I am, so she is already way too far ahead of me. These weight loss techniques include at-home exercises, calorie counting, proper food portions, appropriate motivation, filling up on fruits and veggies, and many more. Did you know that simply losing as little as 10 percent of your current body weight can make a difference in your health? Achieving this initial weight loss goal will help to lower your risk for heart disease and other conditions, including high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and certain types of cancer.
